Dr. S.R. Narahari, MD, DVD (Modern dermatology) Chairman & Director (Pro-bono)

Dermatologist Saravu Narahari developed an internationally acknowledged centre of excellence for the morbidity management and disability prevention of Lymphatic Filariasis and other lymphoedemas in resource-poor primary health care and challenging setting. He pioneered clinician-led bedside integrative medicine by combining the therapeutics of Ayurveda & Yoga with Biomedicine. He leads integrative medicine research, intersectoral collaborations, and patient-centred care and education to meet the needs of chronic diseases. He is among the world’s leading lymphoedema experts with 80 research papers and several national and international conference presentations/participation.  In 2010, a WHO publication discussing integrative medicine named IAD as a leading lymphology clinic in the world.  In 2014, the Government of Kerala established its ‘Centre for Integrated Medicine and Public Health’ in IAD under a public-private partnership for furthering activities of R&D and events related to community dermatology.

He received three international excellence awards for Lymphatic Filariasis/Lymphoedema instituted by lead professional bodies. Three specialist journals wrote editorials on IAD’s integrative treatment.

Dr. B.Vishnu Bhat (Pro-bono)

Dr.B.Vishnu Bhat is the Director –Medical Research & Professor of Pediatrics & Neonatology, at Aarupadai Veedu Medical College at present. He has a colourful career of over 40 years in teaching Pediatrics and Neonatology and has been part of medical education and research at JIPMER. He held various senior positions including Dean of research before retiring as Director- JIPMER. He was also an alumnus of JIPMER at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He had his neonatology training at the University of Illinois, Chicago, USA. He has 382 research publications to his credit and has contributed over 60 chapters in books. He has also edited two books, one on protein energy malnutrition and another on NICU protocols of JIPMER. He is an associate editor of the Indian Journal of Pediatrics. He is credited with initiating the DM(Neonatology) and PhD programmes (Neonatology) in JIPMER. Dr Vishnu Bhat is a director (Pro-bono) designate of IAD.

Anish Ramachandran(Pro-bono)

Anish Ramachandran is a director (pro-bono) of IAD. He is presently the pro-bono Chief Executive Officer of One Billion Literates Foundation; was the VP of Intel Corp. He has more than twenty-five years of experience in business leadership and was at the helm of corporate leadership. Before his voluntary retirement from the corporate sector, Anish served as the Vice-President and Director of Intel’s Greater Asia Region operations. He has worked at Intel across various leadership positions. An alumnus of XLRI, Jamshedpur, Anish brings extensive leadership chops, a passion for working with marginalized underprivileged communities, such as Lymphatic Filariasis patients.
