Dermatology Nursing Syllabus

In 2009 Dr. Narahari (as the director of the Institute of Applied Dermatology, Kasaragod, Kerala) and Prof Laxmi V Nair, Head of the department of dermatology, KMCT, Medical College, Kozhikode, Kerala, organized a colloquium collaborating with the International Skincare Nursing Group and Bournemouth University, the UK, supported by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Indian Council for Medical Research. Dermatologists, nursing schools, and their teaching faculty contributed to developing the Indian dermatology nursing syllabus. The syllabus differed from European nursing practice. After peer review by national and international nursing leaders, IAD later published the syllabus framework online (https://iad.org.in/research/dermatology-nursing-syllabus/) for suggestions and remodeling or adoption.
