Advancing Molecular Research in Filarial Lymphedema

We are advancing translational research in lymphatic filariasis and lymphedema through our collaborative research with SRM University–AP.

 As part of this collaboration, we have initiated the study “Novel Circulating Protein Fingerprints for Therapeutic Monitoring of Lymphoedema Reversal Following Integrative Treatment,” which focuses on identifying circulating protein biomarkers associated with clinical improvement and treatment response. By combining our clinical outcomes with molecular and proteomic analysis, we aim to better understand the biological changes associated with lymphedema reversal, strengthen the scientific evidence for integrative treatment, and explore potential biomarkers for monitoring therapeutic response.

This collaboration represents an important step towards connecting clinical practice with molecular science and advancing research-driven approaches to lymphatic diseases.

This recognition marks an important milestone in our continuing journey in lymphatic healthcare and acknowledges our commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred conservative care for people living with lymphatic diseases. It reflects our longstanding focus on clinical care, education and research in the field of lymphatic disorders and provides an opportunity to further strengthen our engagement with an international network of professionals working in lymphatic health.

Through this collaboration, we look forward to advancing knowledge exchange, professional learning and shared experiences in conservative lymphatic care, while continuing to contribute to the development of evidence-informed approaches that support better care and long-term self-management for people affected by lymphatic diseases.
